Paying for Web 2.0 + Medicine

Looks like insurance companies are starting to pick up the tab for greater access to clinicians through web, email and phone. The reasoning is that increased access will improve overall health through better control. A more cynical view might be that insurance companies can put a larger premium on better access or that Dr. Jay's practice model and the prospect of people paying for primary care while only taking out catastrophic insurance coverage might put a dent in the old profits. Time will tell.
