Canada paying more for drugs than the US

Brand name drugs are more expensive in the US right? Yes, but their generic counterparts are double the price in Canada. It turns out, understanding the difference in the price of drugs is more complicated than originally thought. A report from the Fraser Institute points out that while Canadians pay half as much for brand name drugs they pay double for generics with more draconian substitution laws.
